Position Overview: The Marketing Manager owns the strategic execution and elevation of our premium brand across all business units, including special events (St. Marys Weddings), accommodations (The Penrose Suites), restaurant (Social Thirty-One), and golf (St. Marys Golf & Country Club). As a vital member of the Leadership Team, this role ensures all marketing efforts drive brand awareness, generate high-quality leads, and maintain a niche market position.

Accountability Chart (The 5 Major Responsibilities)

  1. Marketing Strategy & Execution: Own the annual marketing plan, positioning, and budget allocation to ensure a premium brand aesthetic across all touchpoints.
  2. Lead Generation & Campaign Ownership: Create high-performing campaigns that fuel the pipeline and drive strategic objectives.
  3. Data & Analytics (The Scorecard): Track, analyze, and optimize marketing ROI, platform performance, and customer acquisition costs.
  4. Content Creation & Visual Assets: Manage visual storytelling and development of creative assets, including advertising, social media, promotional materials, package designs, and physical collateral that enhance product presentation.
  5. Agency Management & Collaboration: Act as the sole internal point of contact and accountability partner for our external ad agency, directing their execution of paid media campaigns on Meta, Google Ads, and other digital channels.

Essential Job Functions & Day-to-Day Realities:

Leadership & Integration

  • Participate actively in Weekly Level 10 (L10) meetings to solve organizational issues, track Rocks, and maintain leadership alignment.
  • Operate with high autonomy as an independent contributor while collaborating with the company’s brand consultant and internal department heads to build cohesive promotional programs and materials.
  • Review weekly agency scorecards to ensure third-party execution aligns with brand standards and growth targets.

Strategic Marketing & Content Creation

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies across various platforms, staying updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Manage and optimize digital and traditional marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility and drive traffic.
  • Maintain a hands-on, entrepreneurial approach, executing creative projects from initial concept through to final design and copywriting.
  • Monitor and manage the company's online reputation and presence across websites, social media, and other digital platforms.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify premium growth opportunities and analyze competitor strategies.

Scorecard & Measurables (How Success is Tracked)

  • Marketing ROI / ROAS: Return on investment across digital and print campaigns (including agency performance).
  • Lead Generation: Total volume and quality of inbound marketing-qualified leads.
  • Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC): Efficiency of marketing spend to acquire new business.
  • Brand Awareness Metrics: Growth in qualified website traffic, organic search visibility, and social engagement.
  • Rock Completion Percentage: Successful execution of quarterly strategic priorities (target: 80% or higher).

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a lead marketing role with proven decision-making ownership (not an analyst-level role).
  • Extensive technical expertise overseeing campaigns inside Google Ads Manager and Meta Business Suite, with a track record of managing external agencies.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; meticulous content creator who thrives in a nimble, smaller organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to budget allocation and audience targeting.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a sharp eye for detail and design.
