Position: Full-time contract until November 13, 2026; 40 hours per week 

Work arrangement: Hybrid — four days in the office and Fridays remote; office located near Yonge and Sheppard, Toronto 

 

The Organization

Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies (FSWC) is a non-profit human rights organization committed to countering racism and antisemitism and to promoting the principles of tolerance, social justice and Canadian democratic values through advocacy and education. 

 

The Opportunity

FSWC is seeking a dependable and organized Administrator & Fundraising Coordinator to provide day-to-day administrative support and assist with fundraising activities. This newly created role is well suited to a humble, hardworking professional who enjoys contributing to a warm, helpful and collaborative workplace. 

 

You will: 

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to the fundraising team. 
  • Maintain accurate donor records, correspondence, files and reports. 
  • Assist with donation processing, acknowledgements and other donor communications. 
  • Support fundraising campaigns, events and related logistics. 
  • Prepare and format documents, spreadsheets and presentations using Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings and follow-up activities. 
  • Respond professionally to internal and external inquiries and collaborate across the organization. 
  • Complete other administrative and fundraising duties as assigned. 

 

You are someone with: 

  • One to five years of administrative experience; experience in fundraising or the non-profit sector is an asset. 
  • Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail. 
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills. 
  • A collaborative, adaptable and service-oriented approach. 
  • The ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and maintain accuracy in a busy environment. 
  • Discretion when handling confidential donor and organizational information. 

 

What you bring: 

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. 
  • Familiarity with DonorPerfect or another donor-management database is an asset. 
  • An understanding of fundraising practices is an asset. 

 

Compensation: Salary is commensurate based on experience is expected to be within the range of $27.00 - $31.00 an hour.
